Troubleshoot compact layouts
Recover when a panel covers the canvas, an action shows only an icon, or touch interaction starts the wrong gesture.
The compact workspace uses overlay drawers to preserve canvas space.
A panel covers the canvas
Close it with the visible close action or Escape. Opening another drawer closes the current one. The graph remains in place behind the panel.
A toolbar label is missing
At narrow widths some actions show only an icon. Focus or hover for the tooltip, or use the accessible name with a screen reader. Do not choose an unfamiliar icon by position alone.
Pan starts a connection
Begin the gesture on empty canvas space instead of a node handle. Zoom in before precise connection work.
Focus seems lost
Close the current overlay and move to the toolbar or selected node. Use Tab to confirm the visible focus sequence before invoking another shortcut.
If complex rewiring remains difficult, save and continue on a wider viewport.
