Configure Settings and visual preferences
Configure local canvas preferences separately from strategy timezone, market hours, trading days, and default leverage.
The Preferences menu contains local canvas choices and the Settings action. These two groups have different persistence and effects.
Set visual preferences
Open Preferences from the toolbar. You can change:
- Minimap between Visible and Hidden.
- Grid background between Dots and Lines.
- Curved edges between Stepped and Curved.
The defaults are a visible minimap, a dotted background, and stepped edges. Changes apply immediately and are stored in the current browser; they do not modify or save the strategy graph.
Open strategy Settings
From Preferences, choose Settings. Strategy Settings are saved with the strategy and affect how its configuration is interpreted.
Configure the strategy
Review the timezone first. When market hours are enabled, set opening and closing times and the applicable days. Set default leverage only when it matches the strategy and availability shown in the product.
Use clear, internally consistent times. A market-hours interval must make sense in the selected timezone.
Save the result
Choose Apply Settings, then save the graph. Settings cannot be changed during historical preview or replay, and can be blocked while saving, offline, or in conflict.
Review Backtest configuration separately. Backtest dates, capital, benchmark, execution assumptions, and costs are not replaced by strategy Settings.
